Battle rap/beef has been a necessary part of hip hop since the birth of the culture back in the 80’s. When cats are beefing, they throw subliminal or sometimes obvious jabs, insults and put downs at their opponents in a creative way and the main objective is to beat their opponent. In most cases the opponent is doing the same. This proves that they are the best and well, authentic. Think back to the beef that blew up between AKA and Cassper. This time around, beef seems to have broken out between Afrotainment signee Duncan Skuva and a Native Rhythms rapper Mthinay Tsunam.

Mthinay
According to a user on Facebook, Mthokozisi Phatbouy Simelane, nobody knows where the beef started exactly but it is alleged that Duncan slept with Mthinay’s girlfriend, Assessa, who also happens to be a rapper. After that, Mthinay goes on a national radio show and drops a verse aimed at Duncan.
A couple days later, a response comes from Duncan in the form of Isgwebo Sentambo part 2. Duncan goes in on this track, he tears Mthinay apart! He raps about how he has boys in the street and how he is about ready to murder someone. He also warns Mthinay to keep his girl in check because she is all over him. Duncan drops way too many punchlines in this and if your Zulu is not polished, a translator is a necessity.

Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, 'What's in it for me?'
